Silicone Elastomers  are synthesized from basic linear vinyl polymer systems and hydrogen silicone fluids through a well-known reaction called hydrosilylation. Both gel and powder forms of siliconeelastomers are available, withthe latter being free of swellingagents. When used properly incosmetic formulations, all stand-ard silicone elastomers can provide a soft and silky feel to skincare and makeup products.
