In Vitro Evaluation of the Barrier Effect
The barrier effect was evaluated by measuring the reduction in caffeine permeation through a three-dimensional in vitro reconstructed human epidermis model. Compared to the control, the polysaccharide blend demonstrated a significant barrier effect, markedly reducing caffeine penetration.
