Phenyl Modified Silicone Fluids has higher coefficient of viscosity-temperature, lower freezing point and higher flash point. The most commonly used high temperature silicone fluids are phenyl silicone fluids. When the phenyl group in the polysiloxane replaces the methyl group, oxidation resistance, thermal stability, and shear resistance are all improved. The phenyl group is usually introduced by a phenylmethylsiloxane or a diphenylsiloxane.

Octyl funcational Silicone Fluids are recommended for organic systems that require the benefits of silicone but are too incompatible with standard dimethyl silicones.

Methyl hydrogen fluids are methyl hydrogen polysiloxanes end-capped with trimethyl siloxy groups. Methyl hydrogen fluids are primarily used to treat powders to keep them dry, as an anti-caking material and are also highly water repellent.
