Grand Carbomer is an important thickener. It is a high polymer crosslinked by acrylic acid or acrylate and allyl ether. Its components include polyacrylic acid (homopolymer) and acrylic acid / C10-30 alkyl acrylate (copolymer). As a water-soluble rheological modifier, it has high thickening and suspension properties and is widely used in coatings, textiles, pharmaceuticals, construction, detergents, and cosmetics.
Grand Carbomer 990 is a crosslinked acrylic polymer. It uses environmentally friendly cyclohexane and ethyl acetate as reaction solvents. It is a water-soluble rheology thickening agent with high efficiency of thickening and suspension. It has the characteristics of short rheology (no trickle) and is widely used in a transparent gel, water-alcohol gel, and cream. It can form bright, transparent water or water gel and cream.
1. Short rheological behavior
2. High viscosity
3. Extremely high thickening, suspension and stability properties
4. High transparency
1. Hair styling gel, water-alcohol gel
2. Moisturizing gel
3. Shower gel.
4. Hand, body and facial lotion
5. Cream
The recommended usage is 0.2 to 1.0 wt%.
While stirring, the polymer is evenly spread in the medium, but avoid agglomeration, stirring sufficiently to disperse it.
The polymer with a pH of 5.0 ~ 10 in the middle and medium has a better thickening property. The neutralizer should be selected correctly in the system with water and alcohol.
High-speed shearing or stirring should be avoided after neutralization to reduce viscosity loss.
Grand Carbomer 996 is a cross-linked polyacrylate polymer. It is used as a high-efficient rheology modifier, capable of providing high viscosity, excellent thickening and suspending performance with low-dosage. It is also widely used in O/W lotions and creams as a favorable suspending agent. Highly tolerated in alcohol system, it’s the most popular thickening agent for hand sanitizers.
Grand Carbomer 676 polymer is a highly crosslinked polyacrylic acid polymer. It has short flow characteristics and relatively high viscosity performance. It is recommended for use in automatic dish care, hard surface cleaners, home care cleaning systems, gelled fuels and other common industrial systems. It has good viscosity stability in the presence of chlorine bleach and has good efficacy in high pH systems.
Grand Carbomer 981 is a cross-linked polyacrylate polymer. It performs the same as Uni-Carbomer 941, but it is polymerized in co-solvent system of ethyl acetate and cyclohexane.
Grand Carbomer 980 is a cross-linked polyacrylate polymer, polymerized in co-solvent system of ethyl acetate and cyclohexane. It is used as a high-efficient rheology modifier, capable of providing high viscosity, excellent thickening and suspending performance with low-dosage. It is also widely used in O/W lotions and creams as a favorable suspending agent. When neutralized by alkali it forms sparkling clear water or hydroalcoholic gels and creams.
Grand Carbomer 934 is a cross-linked polyacrylate polymer. It has short flow property and offers excellent thickening for opaque gels, creams, lotions and suspensions.
Grand Carbomer 941 is a cross-linked polyacrylate polymer with outstanding long-flow property in mucilage. It offers excellent clarity in gels and gives permanent emulsions and suspensions at low viscosity, even with ionic systems.
Grand Carbomer 940HC is a cross-linked polyacrylate polymer. It is used as a highly efficient rheology modifier, capable of providing high viscosity, excellent thickening, and suspending performance with low dosage. It is also widely used in O/W lotions and creams as a favorable suspending agent. When neutralized by alkali it forms sparkling clear water or hydroalcoholic gels and creams.
Grand Carbomer 940 is a cross-linked polyacrylate polymer. It is used as a highly efficient rheology modifier capable of providing high viscosity, excellent thickening, and suspending performance with low dosage. It is also widely used in O/W lotions and creams as a favorable suspending agent. When neutralized by alkali, it forms sparkling clear water or hydroalcoholic gels and creams.
Grand Carbomer 2020 is a cross-linked polyacrylic acid copolymer processed in a cosolvent system of ethyl acetate and cyclohexane. It has a long viscous flow property, imparts excellent thickening and suspending capability, especially in surfactant systems, and forms sparkling clarity gels. Grand Carbomer 2020 has the ability to wet quickly but hydrate slowly, uncoiling at a relatively lower rate. This feature makes it easy to disperse and provides easily made dispersions in water less susceptible to lumping and easier to pump and handle in the process due to its low dispersion viscosity before neutralization.
Grand Carbomer 20 is a hydrophobically modified cross-linked acrylate copolymer. It self-wets and disperses quickly in minutes, which remarkably meets formulators’ ease-of-use needs. It delivers excellent thickening efficiency at a wide pH range, which makes it a good choice for wide applications. In surfactant systems, it performs outstandingly in suspending and stabilizing insoluble substances like beads, microcapsules, exfoliants, silicones, and oils. Grand Carbomer 20 also provides good electrolyte tolerance and unique sensory benefits in formulations. Even at high concentrations, Grand Carbomer 20 maintains excellent clarity.
Grand Carbomer 980HC is a cross-linked polyacrylate polymer. It is used as a highly efficient rheology modifier, capable of providing high viscosity and excellent clarity. When neutralized by alkali, it forms sparkling clear water or hydroalcoholic gels and creams.
Grand Carbomer 934P is a cross-linked polyacrylate polymer. It has a short flow property and offers excellent thickening for toothpaste, opaque gels, creams, lotions, and suspensions.
Grand™ EC 600 is a new type of anionic acrylamide water-dispersed copolymer, suitable for acidic formulation systems as a thickener.
