Batana oil

Batana oil is a vitamin-rich butter made from the kernel of the palm tree Elaeis oleifera, native to tropical Central and South America. For thousands of years, it has been used to strengthen and nourish hair among the indigenous peoples of the region. It is used by the indigenous people of La Moskitia (Honduras) as a body and hair moisturizer. It is an emollient and skin conditioner that helps to grow thick, shiny hair and repair damaged hair. Batana can be applied to hair and scalp daily.

Elaeis Oleifera Kernel Oil

Batana oil or ojon oil are all names for the same product: an oil pressed from the American palm tree. Elaeis Oleifera for insiders. Batana oil is extracted from the nuts of this palm tree. The tree is called the American oil palm because it is found in South and Central America. Especially in Honduras and Brazil. The nuts are rich in oil, which is extracted by cold pressing. The American oil palm occurs mainly in the wild and is virtually not planted in plantations, making this tree scarce.

The indigenous Miskito people in Honduras have been using Batana oil for hundreds of years. They call it “miracle oil” because they say it has helped them to grow longer and stronger hair. It is also said to have many benefits for the skin. But is that true?

Batana oil contains several natural fats. These are rich in omega-6 and omega-9, which can reduce the evaporation of water from the skin, making it less dry. In addition, the oil contains a lot of vitamin E. This vitamin has strong antioxidant properties. It is known for its nourishing and healing properties for skin and hair.

Batana oil also has a surprising benefit not found in most natural oils on the market: it can protect our skin from UV rays. (Not enough to replace sunscreen, though!) Batana oil contains tocopherols and tocotrienols, which act as antioxidants. They protect the skin from UV rays and environmental pollution and fight free radicals that lead to sun damage.

1. Deep nourishment: Batana oil is rich in essential fatty acids that provide deep nourishment to the scalp. This nourishment creates a healthy environment for hair follicles to thrive, promoting optimal hair growth.

2. Improved blood circulation: The massaging action of applying Batana oil to the scalp improves blood circulation, stimulating hair follicles. Better blood flow delivers essential nutrients and oxygen to the hair follicles, supporting their health and promoting hair growth.

3. Strengthens and conditions: Batana oil contains vitamin E and emollient properties, which help strengthen and condition the hair strands. Stronger, well-conditioned hair is less prone to breakage and damage, allowing it to grow longer and healthier.
